TC parts interchange info

New to this forum and the TC's but have plenty of Chrysler 2.2 experience, big time into the Shelby modified Dodge's. I was wondering since I've been learning the hard way the last two weeks has someone already gone to all of the effort that I've been through lately in composing a quick reference parts interchange list for these TC's. I've but making a list but wondering if I'm already duplicating others efforts. On other Turbo Chrysler forums I'm on a lot of them have a running post where people post that type of information to help the group. Does that type of thing already exist on this forum or could we start one.

There might be a list available through the club, I haven't joined the club yet, I will eventually.

I haven't seen a quick reference TC interchange list on the forum and I have learned that even Chrysler can't always get you the right part when they look up a part number. As I find parts that can't be found with factory numbers and parts that are interchangeable with others, I do post and others here have also, but these things don't auto search on the forum; you are the search engine. If you know how to put something like that together I will go back through all my postings and dig those numbers up.

Bret, there is not a list as such, as far as I know. I attempt to help where I can, there are 2 distinct 8 valve engines in the 1989 year model build. The 'early' block engine which is pretty much an exact 88 Daytona with the forged crank and floating wrist pins and square cut timing belt cogs. Then there is the 'common' block in the later '89 build. The main difference visually is the lack of the mechanical fuel pump COVER and the round cog sprockets and timing belt. Things like water pump and related pulleys are different as well. Rear disc brakes are also from the 88 Daytona and front brakes are like the older 'K' car line, rather than 89 and up domestic 'K' family cars.

That's just a sample of major items that people are generally looking for.

Ok here is a few aftermarket #'s I've found in my adventure of putting my car back together also Gates has a great application info for hoses/belts and the quality of Gates products are close if not at least as good as OEM

I invite other to add to this list as they find sources for parts for our car's I recognize many of you want OEM only, but as we all know sometimes we have no other sources And each of the above parts I have ordered and used with the exception of the brake cables which I haven't got yet but they are on the way.

Neutral safety back-up light switch, Chrysler superseded part number for switch fits tranny, not wire harness. Use BDW # NS38054.
