kbeach
Could the gold be part of the old copper plating from the original nickle plating? What is the size of the speedometer and clock and does each have its own class?ThanksKen

John_S_in_Penna
That's a nice-looking instrument panel. From what car?Gold plating may be interesting style-wise, but you allprobably know that the gold in the plating adds absolutely no value for precious metal's sake.Electroplating is approximately two MILLIONTHS of an inch thick!Other types of plating may be a bit thicker but their thickness isstill infinitesimal. It was a key to help identify the make and model to what car, it was original.Thank you for your input, mikeburch
