The Surround on this Instrument Panel, seems to be gold plated !

What car had this ? Looks to be out of the 20s.

All gauges, plus the clock, seem to be very good, except Amp. which is destroyed.

$80.00 plus $15.00 First class Priority Mail Postage.

Thank you,

mikeburch

Could the gold be part of the old copper plating from the original nickle plating? What is the size of the speedometer and clock and does each have its own class?

Thanks

Ken

KEN ......................

That's what I thought, at first, but there seems to be no nickel.

Each instrument has it's own glass.

It looks more gold, in person.

I think it is sold, if not, I'll get back to you.

Thank you,

That's a nice-looking instrument panel. From what car?

Gold plating may be interesting style-wise, but you all

probably know that the gold in the plating

adds absolutely no value for precious metal's sake.

Electroplating is approximately two MILLIONTHS of an inch thick!

Other types of plating may be a bit thicker but their thickness is

still infinitesimal.

Yes, I know the gold plating has no intrinsic value. It was a key to help identify the make and model to what car, it was original.

Thank you for your input,
