Booreatta
Back in 1968 I purchased new a 1968 Olds Cutlass Convertible. It was a great car, but life got in the way and I always wanted to try to find the car if it has not been destroyed. I heard there was a web site where some records were kept. After just the past do or so I found the sales contract with the serial number on it. Does anyone have any info on how to research an old number. Any help would be appreciatedThanksChuck KerlsWichita Kansas
CarlLaFong
Privacy laws pretty much eliminate any chances of finding old car with a VIN. Registers and clubs often have cars and owners with VINs listed
joe_padavano
The other problem is that the internet didn't exist back then. Records were kept on a strange medium called "paper", making it difficult to search them on a website, especially since there is no financial incentive to digitize them. Harold
Punch the VIN into Google. If the car was advertised with its VIN it might be a starting point for you.
