Wogden Posted September 16, 2014 Share Posted September 16, 2014 Trying to help ID this tailshaft housing that is on a Buick 6 bolt trans that has been converted to an open drive line. We thought that it was the '50 Olds tail but it is not. Have compared it to a '51 Olds tail (often used) but it is not. Have checked a Pontiac circa '56 but that is not right either. We need to get the drive/driven gear for the speedo on this tranny so he can proceed with the installation. Pic attached. Can anyone run the tail number (1165430-1) and see what it came from?
