Guest Fastrack Posted September 4, 2014 Share Posted September 4, 2014 I cannot seem to get my 1947 Hudson to idle properly. All cylinders are sparking, compression is a bit low at around 60 psi on each cylinder. However, my 1949 Hudson idles just fine even though the engine compression is around 70 psi. Is the automatic choke opening and closing correctly?The engine otherwise runs smoothly when you're driving down the road?Would I assume correctly that you have fussed with the idle adjustment screws?By the way, is this the 8 or the 6 cylinder engine?
