hello,

this is Belgium calling...

I recently purchased a Plymout cranbrook 1953 convertible.

If I want to purchase parts for this vehicle, what e-shop would you suggest being Plymouth specialists?

Are there any specialists on this model on the forum?

This is my first American car and I am looking for the best available info,

thanks

Franky

Hi there Franky,

I have just joined this forum and saw your posts. How is it going? I am in Australia and in the process of restoring a 53 Cranbrook convertible myself. I can see that you posted a  few years ago but I am interested in finding out more about the process you went through and what you discovered, trying to access parts far from their origins.

Cheers,

Paul

Paul,

It depends on what you are actually looking for....

I have all the mechanical parts ---

Brakes: Master Cylinder, all six (6) wheel cylinders, brake hoses, brake shoes, wheel bearings & seals, etc.

Front End: King Pins, pin kits, tie rods, etc.

Water Pump and Fuel Pump ++ Brand New ++ no cores required -- critical for you -- you don't want to have to send back cores.....

Front Motor Mount -- that the "mail order world" sells for $ 35.00 -- I have hundreds of them -- I do them for $ 12.00.

Ignition and Electrical, quality tune up parts and a whoooooooole lot more.

I do not have , however, anything used or "piece of car" -- no fenders, hoods, radio knobs, carpeting, etc. etc.

You can contact me through here or at mobileparts@yahoo.com

               Yours, Craig.

Just back from China and waiting for the corona virus to settle before returning. I was in a remote area so luckily, far from the infection vectors. The silver lining is that I'm back with the car for a while. The things I'm looking for at present are weather strips and rubbers. I purchased a set of supposedly complete rubbers for the convertible but they sure as heck were not complete. Some profiles were wrong, especially the cowl strip and I'm still looking for roof rail weatherstrip and the stripping to the rear side windows. Any leads will be greatly appreciated. Franky, did you find  any suppliers for your '53?
