Hi all!

Has to let it go, and want to post it here to let the AACA community get a chance to buy it first. If it is not sold within a week, it will posted on EBay with no reserve with this starting price. See also my thread Me and my Buick. Interested buyers please PM me, and I will reply as fast as possible. Car located in Tempe AZ.

Price: $5900.00, OBO.

Car has a clear title, been parked in a barn on the countryside since 1969. Plates still has stickers. Data on this car as follows:

1957 Buick Special Model 49D Riviera Estate 4-door hardtop wagon. Total produced: 6817 (Caballero 10186)

Body #4203

Trim #415

Paint UU Green stripe in Sweepspear as well

Pcc BFJK

The car arrived to my friend Art`s shop in Tempe AZ on Monday. This is a rubber mat car, no carpets. Sonomatic radio and manual antenna. Engine is all together (stuck at the moment), never been messed around with, tailgate is amazingly rust free, but there is some unexpected rust behind the rear doors and a little above the left headlight. Right axel is leaking, Headliner panels are all there, extremely rare for those as they were fiberboard. Car has redeeming qualities, but need to be restored.

This is something you don't see very often. How are the floor pans and frame? Is that rust spot at the rear door common?

Floorpans and frame are good. regarding rust at the rear dor area (dog leg), that is not unusual to my understandig. The floor in the spare wheel well need to replaced.

Thanks for looking. Will post it EBAy sooner then planned!

Joern,

Before it gets sold, can you get Art to take some pictures of the interior for me? I would like some reference photos to have in the restoration of my wagon. Mine lacks some of the original items on the trim and interior and would appreciate any he could take prior to the sale. PM me for my email address. Thanks!
