This is the finished product of my steering wheel swap in my 90 coupe. The wheel is out of a z34 and the horn button is a hubcap logo.

Here's with the factory horn button. I definitely prefer the Reatta hubcap horn button to the blacked out bowtie.

Sharp wheels, Ronnie. And thanks for the props, dashmaster and rogold. I just figured out direct image html linking to my photo bucket, I'm excited. Still not sure if the photobucket link in my signature is working right, when I view it on mobile I get a giant ad where the pics should be.

I've actually made it a goal to integrate more black in the interior to break up the tan a little. I just don't like that much tan all in one place. Yes, the horn works fine. It feels a little clicky pushing it because of the large solid horn button, but works ok. That spring loaded wire seems universal. The options for fitting it were either grinding down the hubcap logo or cutting the pleather center to the wheel. I opted to grind the logo down in case I ever wanted to try a different logo. Thanks for checking that link, Machiner 55. Like I said, I thought it worked but all I see when I click it is pop up ad.

I was out to Gibson's today pulling parts from a Reatta that has been there for 4 years. [The yard guys like me and leave it there for me to pick parts from. At any rate right next to it is a 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix. The have a great looking black 4 spoke leather steering wheel. It does not have an air bag. The only problem with it is that it has Pontiac embossed in the center cap.

I am thinking I could use the Reatta logo from a Reatta, the one located below the glove box. Is that removable? I looked at my car after I left Gibson's and that is all I could see that would fit. Or does anyone have any other ideas? It has to be inline about 1" high and 6" long.

The only other idea I can come up with is to remove the horn button, remove the vinyl and start from scratch making vinyl for the horn button. You would open up other options but that option is way above my skill level so I can't condone it in good conscience. If you know someone with decent cnc skill, you could design your own. Embossed logos are hard to work around.

When I went back for my springs to finish my brake conversion project I hiked to the Reatta and grabbed that emblem below the glove box. Walked over to the Grand Prix and the emblem covers up the embossing on the G.P. so I think I will rent a puller from Advance. The wheel is all leather and non airbag wheels at Gibson's are $10.00.

I am going to put it in the 'vert with the T shift handle.

T shift handle? I'm interested. What is the compatibility? Where did you get it? I have a B&M T handle in my jeep and I gotta admit it was a selling point for me, I love the look.

Auto dimming mirrors are out of Roadmasters. The use a different harness [Ronnie has the wire directions on his website] but the mirror still has the map lights we need. The T handles are out of Olds Cutlass and Pontiac Grand Prix. You can also try Trofero's.

I forgot to look at Fieros. They have a pretty neat wheel from what I saw on ebay. [save a bit of walking around at Gibson's when I do my preshopping on ebay].

When looking for shift knobs, also check out Eldorados and Sevilles. The ones from the mid-'80s to about '91 were T-shaped. Then from '92-onwards for a few years were L-shaped and angled towards the driver. They were color keyed to the interior, so can be found to match Reatta colors. And Cadillac also offered black interiors, so they can be found in black as well. I kinda like the L-shaped one the best, but know there are plenty of others who like the T-shaped ones.

With shift knobs like Ronnie showed in post #15, you do have to be a bit careful. The shaft on the Reatta shifter is shorter than some other GM vehicles. So some handles extend too far down the shaft and can't be clipped in. For example, I know the one from my Alero does not work.

I prefer the slightly angled T (or L shifter if you prefer) with the knurled release on the underside. I believe this is the same one Walt is referring to. It was used primarily in the Eldorado and Allante. I have a color keyed (burgundy) of this type in both 88's, and a black one in the 'vert. I have the "fat" Trofeo type T handle with thumb button re-tinted in flame red on the 91 coupe and like it too. Not as easy to find however.

So in the below photo, from left to right, is a rare '87 Riviera color keyed knob, two Cadillac "T" shaped handles, and a Cadillac "L" shaped one. Note that on one of the "T" handles there is stitching across the top, and the other is smooth.

On the top of the photo is a saddle bag from a Seville seat back. I have one in the Reatta to keep gas receipts and stuff under control.

I have that Regal wheel in the Black and like it a lot. I had a larger lapel type pin ground off the pins and taped it to the Regal center cap. Looks original as well. If I could find a tan one at Gibson's [there is one there but is badly worn] it would be in the 'vert.
