Pete Phillips Posted August 25, 2014 Share Posted August 25, 2014 I don't think it is interchangeable due to the differences in how the Dynaflow transmission fluid is cooled between 1955 and 1956. 1956 radiator has small metal lines that pipe the transmission fluid up to bottom radiator tank. 1955 sends the coolant back to the transmission via larger rubber hoses, where it is cooled at the transmission.Pete Phillips, BCA #7338 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JohnD1956 Posted August 26, 2014 Share Posted August 26, 2014 If you were not opposed to a modification you probably could make it work by using an external trans cooler in front of the radiator.
