'38 Dodge with Kissing Doors!

Any of you ever refer to suicide doors as "kissing doors"? Whether it's a term from the past or a colloquialism, it's new to me!

Never heard that term in my 53 years of being in the old car hobby.

Never heard it either. Note that 2dr cars can have suicide doors, which aren't kissing...

Better than missing doors.

To me, 'kissing doors' refers to four door cars with suicide doors on the front and center hinged doors on the rear.

So that when both doors on one side are opened they "kiss"

I would call those "butterfly" doors.
