1937 Chrysler Royal engine - trans

Recommended Posts

I have a 1937 Royal engine and transmission available for sale. Serial number is C165865. It turns over and I believe it was running when pulled. I also have the transmission and clutch, but the bell housing is missing. I pulled the horn and oil filter (that are in these pictures) so please note that they are not included. The motor is located in Somerset, PA, just south of Pittsburgh. Please give me a ring if you have any interest. Any reasonable offer!

Thanks

Vic

Hi did you check compression and how long is the motor? What are you asking for it? We are in Canada and are going to Hershey in 3 weeks. Thx. Larry

Hi:

Not sure if you got my response as I was out of town and trying to manage much of this on a smart phone. But to answer your questions, I have not done a compression check. Could possibly do this but need to mount it on a stand and fund something to turn the crank (starting motor is gone). Please feel free to give me a call if you have any other questions or care to discuss.

Thanks

Vic

Hello, stumbled across this ad : a couple of questions if you don't mind, is the transmission case stamped. T-85. W G Div. Does the shift lever go down through the bellhousing? Asking because I' m looking for parts for my 1937 Borg Warner T-85 transmission with overdrive, it's missing the shift lever clutch assy., and bell housing. Let me know if you have these parts or can give me a lead. Thank you. Dave
