miker98038
Since no one has responded, and these don't grow on trees, I'll throw this out. Several 'bird vendors sell the porthole kit, which I believe was a Ford item for earlier cars. It's a pretty simple install with layout patterns, and all you need is a good saber saw. Changing the front and side hold down clamps is easy, and the rear hold downs can also be changed to match a 57. This will allow use of an earlier hardtop. You may need to remove the side emblem, which was not usually installed on a porthole car. I believe both the early and late weatherstrip will interchange. I don't know about the headliner. This would allow you to use an earlier top. My early 55 tops have the later model hold downs front and side as a concession to my old hurting hands. I don't know how this would work out for show purposes, but it will function, I think.

1957Birdman
Hi Roger,Welcome to the forum. Try Prestige Thunderbird. They have a number on hand from people who decided to go with a soft top instead of the hardtop. They also are available regularly on Ebay.Regards,Lew
