Why would Chrysler museum display and advertise this?

Lack of knowledge? Maybe they dressed this car to make it look more glamorous for the dignitaries showing? Just a thoufht!

One of the museum staff got it wrong and nobody caught it except us....the real experts.

I agree it's most likely not a Plymouth. But although I'm not sure about 28s, 1929and '30 Plymouths could have wire wheels. I have a set of the snap on hubcaps. They are not unlike 1931s but have just the large 'P' on them and are made out of aluminum like the screw ons. Just about every '28,'29 or '30 Plymouth had screw on caps with the 'P' on them. Also Chrysler ,and the Plymouth clubs, seem to think a '28 coupe was the 1st Plymouth. Chrysler has it somewhere but nobody's sure if it IS the 1st one or not. Just to make things interesting.
