Guest jwnpghdodge
Does anyone know how to repair or a source for the backing material for the rear armrests? I asked several upholstery people in my area and none has any way to repair these.thanks John
ply33
What is the part number? If similar/same as the equivalent for Plymouth there might be a source for replacement panels with the arm rest.

ply33
That looks enough different from the Plymouth one that it might not work. But you might want to give the vendor a call, her name is Kathy Schrack and she makes interior kits for '33, '34 and '35 Plymouths. At least for Plymouth, she makes/made a fiberglass backing piece to replace that. Might be worth a phone call.Kathy SchrackSchrack's Classic Auto Interiors6645 Mountain RoadMcAlisterville, PA 17049(717) 463-3384kathyschrack@yahoo.com
jpage
It appears to be made from a pressed paper material similar to the modern door panel board. If you could make a wooden or foam form and the lay it up with fiberglass mat and resin you should be able to duplicate the moulded form. You could also imbed the metal fastening brackets in the fiberglass as well then just glue the fabric over the form. You may be able to duplicate the form in all wood too with a little thought. Just an idea.
