Just called S&S about door latches for my 30 Woodie. They get $400 a set of 4.

Is there an alternative to these or are we relegated to paying the $400? I'm not building a show car.

Any ideas besides a chunk of wood w/a screw in the middle? LOL

I would also try the "Woodie Times", but if you don't mind, I don't think $400 for four door latches is a lot. I would think you are going to pay a lot more for original latches, IF you can find them. Pleasantville Mfg. Co. reproduces Model A Station Wagon bodies so they might be able to help you. Good luck!

That's why I say "If you want to restore or build a Ford woody, then start with a real woody. I don't want to sound coy ,but wagons are dreadfully hard to find the correct parts for and can be very expensive and deviations from the originals can be a hard sell if you wish to sell the car later! I think you'd be wise to use the correct hardware if only for safety purposes!
