larry butcher Posted September 8, 2014 Share Posted September 8, 2014 As you know, the '38 LZ is similar, but a little bigger. I had both of the hood emblems redone for my '38. I sent them to an artist in CA. Some people say they are enameled orcloisonne . Really, 2 different processes . Both are a fired glass finished. The old glass is removed, the emblem is chrome plated and then re-enameler. Not Cheap!. The onlyplace they are found are junk cars or at a parts meet.
