Please help identify this Stutz

This is the only surviving photo of my grandfathers "yellow Stutz". The background story is when he turned 18 (about 1923-during prohibition) his father told him if he swore off alcohol he would buy him a car. He did and never drank a drop in his life and his reward was this car. I don't know if it was new when he got it but they were not wealthy people and Stutz was a premium car so that is a possibility.

I would really like to learn more about the car he had and if I can ever afford to, buy one and restore/maintain it.

I've looked through as many pictures as I could find to identify this but I am not having luck, I would appreciate any help. Sorry I can't figure out how to make the picture bigger.

Sorry to tell you this, but neither car in that photo is a Stutz. I'd post your photo under the "What is it" section near the top of these forums and someone should be able to tell you what kind of car it is.

That explains why I have been having such a hard time identifying.
