How much Are you looking for for these parts? feel free to PM me or call 205-482-0165_Sam
DLynskey
Wow, that's a rare car. Once you destroy this one the others remaining will be even more rare, more valuable. Should make their owners happy. But I am glad you are offering the leftover parts on this forum. Thank you for that and I hope your project turns out as nice as you envision. jeff_a
I've heard of Willys-Knight and Stearns-Knight, but not Chandler-Knight. Are you sure that's what it says on your Body Data Plate, radiator shell and title? If so, it's one I've never heard of or a factory experimental car. keiser31
Could we get photos of the body and radiator shell, please?

Guest cbidlack
that is what I was told the car is. the data plate is there but nothing can be seen. I can make out some of the numbers but that is about it. I know there is a crest on the radiator cover.

keiser31
Looks to be a regular Chandler. Why do you call it a Chandler-Knight? Just curious.
Guest cbidlack
That is what they called it when I bought it. So what you're saying is its just a 1927 Chandler

Dave Mellor NJ
I don't think your car is a 28 not a 27 by the cowl lights. Here's a 27.
Dave Mellor NJ
Here's a 28. I tried to find any reference to Chandler Knight and came up empty. The Knight engine was known for silent operation from the use of sleeves for valves and several companies adopted it and added it to their name. The most famous was Willys Knight. There also was a Falcon Knight, Stearns Knight and Silent Knight. Stoddard Dayton used it but didn't add it to their name. There were also some European cars that used it.That radiator emblem doesn't look right, perhaps somebody got it from a Knight engine equipped car and put it on to make people think that's what it had. keiser31
The radiator emblem is correct for Chandler. The 1928 has the smaller exterior visor like the car in question. Could not find a photo of a car with those features and vertical hood side louvers.
DLynskey
I don't know that I have seen a either a Knight or a Chandler engine, but surely someone can tell from the photos which engine this car has.Don
Dave Mellor NJ
This car in Argentina is a 28. It has the same engine, no cowl lights but the 28 visor. There's nothing to suggest Knight.http://www.arcar.org/chandler-six-1928-22538
