Jeff Perkins / Mn
Two nice Buick hubcaps, all brass, 3 1/2" diameter, VG threads. One has a ding on one corner, other is really nice. I want to ID the year and find someone who can use them. I am not lucky enough to own an early Buick! Scampout@comcast.net Thank You AACA!
drwatson
It looks like 1915. hubcapcollector.com has several views and dimensions of a similar cap.[h=1][/h]
nzcarnerd
I think Buick used this style hubcap right through into the 1920s when they changed to putting Buick in script. There were a coupe of years of brass ones with the letters in script then they went to alloy ones. Hopefully hear from an expert who can verify the years. Larry Schramm
I do not believe they are 1915. Not sure. Maybe 1916??
Guest Al Brass
4 cylinder '15 caps are smaller and the point of the hex? is level with the threaded portion, unlike the stepped style in the pic.RegardsAl
Jeff Perkins / Mn
Seems as if the caps are for a 1915 larger Buick. Thanks to all for responding, also thanks to drwatson for the link to Hubcap Collector, an excellent site for reference.
keiser31
It's always best to start a new post so that the identifications don't get confused. That is actually suggested in starting an i.d. post.
