29commander
RobertI thank you for your reply. I have purchased a new reproduction box for the mechanism,I just need the handle. I have the handle. However, it is broken. It seems all of the pot metal on the car shatters once you work with it.If I can not find one I will have to get one cast at a foundry
Mark Huston
I also need one for my 1928 dictator. Where are they being reproduced?1929 Studebaker windshield crank is located in the top center of the windshield and cranks from the top. 1928 windshield crank is located in the dash and cranks out the windshield from the bottom. They are not interchangeable.

Mark Huston
can you get them for the 1928?The person who was reproducing them is no longer able and discontinued making reproduction parts. I do not know if anyone is currently reproducing the part.

rbk
Originally the boxes were being made by Steve Munts and later by Nyal Weaver of Osceola, Indiana.I do not have contact information on him.He restored a 1930 Commander and made the boxes for that car.I do not know if they will work on 1928 models. The roster will have it.Robert Kapteyn
Ron Roddy
I could also use a windshield crank mechanism for a 29 commander as well 😂 5756860325 and other small specialty items as well if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. GE Dictator 1928
My ‘28 Dictator could use it as well. If there is someone that has taken over for Steve Munts or knows who may have his remaining inventory, I would be appreciative for the info. Best, Keith Gramlich
