Guest Luminssence
A coworker gave me this to sell. I do a lot of ebay, but car parts aren't really my specialty so I'm open to offers. trimacar
Could someone explain what this does? Must date to no later than the 40's, as it refers to "radiator rod"......???
28 Chrysler
If you need to make sure the ignition is retarded and a generator cutout, it is for older cars than 1940's.It must have something like a vibrator and set up transformer.
Guest Luminssence
Thanks for your quick replies! I've got a better understanding of its function.Would anyone be able to realistically price this for me?
roysboystoys
Seems to me it's a coil with an ignition switch and wiring bypass. Would be useful on cars that have armored cable to the coil. Good for road calls until you get back to the shop. However , if you have a problem in the distributor , I don't see how this helps. Unless something pules the coil at a set rpm?Nice oddity. Limited market? A few tries on ebay would determine the price..Start the reserve at the least you think it's worth. If it was a 1932 Ford part , you would have sales to compare it to.
