Society of Automotive Engineers – related Data Sheets set, 1911-1914 period

Set includes 146 Data Sheets, from 20 different companies.

<o:p </o

For sale is a spiral bound booklet of 146 Data Sheets provided by 20 automotive parts manufacturers for use by those with Society of Automotive Engineers (S.A.E.) associations. These many Data Sheets date from the 1911-1914 period (although many are unmarked for date), and focus on many automotive components. These sheets are incorporated into a 2-ring binder from about 1905 (based on patent date). However, they are not compiled into a formal S.A.E. publication of Data Sheets. This binder is filled with the Data Sheets, which are in overall quite nice condition. The sets of sheets, per company/item, appear to be complete. These sheets are printed on just one side, unless noted. The Data Sheets in this binder are summarized below.

These sheets are associated with the early automotive era, when numerous companies made many parts, which were then assembled into automobiles by a smaller number of automobile companies. These Data Sheets were used for helping to service the wide variety of automobiles with their even wider assortment of parts made by many companies.

I plan on selling these great Data Sheets, but have no idea of their current value. I would appreciate thoughts about that, and/or offers. I have just listed them on eBay; search for something like 1911 Data Sheets.
