caraddict
Need 25" wood wheels for a 1910 Regal Detroit. Will be using split rims. Also need 33x4 non-skid roller tires. Leads appreciated. 850-556-2045 Many thanks <!-- </div> --> <!-- see bottom of postbit.css for .userinfo .popupmenu styles -->

1912Staver
It is unlikely you will find wheels ready to use for something like a 1910 Regal. If you already have hubs to suit your axles and fellow bands to suit your rims then the general practice is to take your metal parts to a wheelbuilder. He will use his skill to build a wheel ; often using new spokes as in Neil's above post, and new wood fellows. I am not sure what you mean by split rims. Are you referring to the style of split rims common in the 1920's which allowed the rim band to be collapsed inside the tire for mounting and demounting. Or are you referring to the demountable type rim more common in the teens where the rim band was not split and side rings were removeable to permit the tire to fit over the band. The side ring would usually be held in place with a lock ring which would snap into a groove preventing the side ring from coming off. If you do find ready to use wheels it is rather unlikely the fellow bands will be correct for your rims. There are a number of different styles and most do not interchange with each other. Adam Walkup
I have a set of 25" wheels I took off my 1911 White when I made the correct 27". They are a matched set of 4 wheels complete with split rims and good tires. AdamAwalkuphcca@hotmail.com
