Call Chip at Power Steering Services - has a website. No issues on my 55 since 2005 rebuild. Happy with service and performance. It was stiff turning right after install but after some driving its fine. Theres probably 10,000 miles on it now and its a 1 finger turn. Chip took some 1 on 1 time with me on the phone, called and gave me all the info when it was disassembled.

You can also try it yourself if you have a service manual depending on whats wrong. You can find some threads from Old Tank on replacing seals - 56 is slightly different than a 55 but same principles apply.

Looks like I'll be contacting Lares. Chip at power steering services gave a price and that he would need to also rebuild the pump as well.

I then removed the steering gear off the car and called to confirm shipment.

Chip then said "he didn't think he could help me."?

I would be happy to help any way I can. We rebuild a lot of those gears. Once we're done with it you will have a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. Either give me a call or send me a PM.

Thanks Matt and Bernie for the kind words!

The steering box and pump are in shipment now to Lares. Thanks.
