Booreatta
.I was at a gas station in my 90 getting gas. I left the car running to keep the AC running to keep my wife cool. ..ok guys not looking for any comments about that. In any case when I removed the gas cap the car just sputtered and died. It was not showing hot and started after a couple of cranks. Is this something that is normal? The other issue is the cruise control quits from 75 mph and higher and it is hard to reset for an hour or so. Any advise? Thanks
NCReatta
That is typical as the car has a pressurized gas tank. If you release the pressure by taking off the cap, it'll die.I'll take a look at the cruise when you get to Portland, might just be a vacuum line. Guest PontiacDude210
You caught my attention with the cruise issue. The cruise on my 90 has never worked and never thrown a code. I just replaced a boatload of vacuum lines. Which line controls the cruise?
zoltanb
Check the switch on the brake pedal, if it is bad or out of adjustment it won't work. Also there is a large vac line attached sometime it cracks where it comes through the firewall.
