Hupp36 Posted July 21, 2014 Share Posted July 21, 2014 Re listing this car. The rear main oil seal holder was made out of pot metal& broke in half do to age, I machined a new 1 out of aluminum. No oil leaks. My friend is a pattern maker & we are going to have some new ones cast which will not require the process I had to go through to machine a new 1 from a block of aluminum.I counted 150 cars in the Hupp club that if you have engine work done, more than likely, you will need to replace the rear main oil seal holder. Because i painted the bumpers silver, I will take $1000 off the asking price of $15,000.This model was the 1st Hupp to have an adjustable front seat. A 6 ft person can easily drive this car. New rings, valves & re babbited rods. All new brakes,5 new tires,tubes& flaps. New paint & upholstery Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
