wex65
Has anyone a URL/resource that describes dismantling the brake booster? Our 55 has a major stumble when the brakes are applied and it is likely a vacuum leak from the booster. I guess the diaphragm is the No.1 suspect right now but am unsure as to how easy these things are to take apart and rebuild.
1957Birdman
Hi Wex,I've never done it since my car has straight brakes. I will observe that CASCO has a rebuild kit for $178 and that Concours Auto Parts offers already rebuilt boosters for $195. I would be inclined to go with the rebuilt unit. My $0.02.Regards,Lew
