road dog
I have to replace some Brake Shoe Anchor Bolt Oil Washers, some have disintegrated. These are the rubbery washers holding the lower end of the break shoes on to the 3/4 inch bolt, behind the metal cover and clip holding it to the bolt. I haven't found any fiber washers that fit, anyone else solved this issue? The dodge 1937 part number is 619308, also used on other trucks of the era. jpage
I believe that they are just pieces of felt pads, The rubbery feeling comes from all the years of grime and grease. Restoration Specialties in PA carries bulk felt strips in various widths and thicknesses so you could just cut your own. They just need to be oiled once in a while to lube the bolt.
