The last Maxwell! 1925 Sport Roadster

Recommended Posts

1925 was the end of the line for Maxwell. Walter P Chrysler had decided to re-badge the car later in the year as a Chrysler. This is the only sport roadster left that we have ever found.

I'm selling this car on behalf of my father. He has owned the car for more than 30 years and restored it 25 years ago. Since then it has seen limited use and has gone less than 1000 miles. The sport roadster came with the lovely disc wheels you see in the pictures. It also has a tan Harrtz cloth top and leather upholstery! Weed bumpers front and back. Clymer thru-the-windshield spot-light and era mirror. Notice the ashtray with the match box holder on the bottom. The original side curtins and tools are in the trunk. The tires are in as new condition. The radiator shell is correctly nickel plated. The upholstery and top are of exceptional quality and are still in mint condition. The paint is starting to show its age. It is driver quality and looks nice. We last ran the Maxwell 5 years ago. It needs a battery and I haven't tried to start it now. It was running well then. This is a fun car to drive and gets lots of attention everywhere it goes. It is located in Vancouver Canada. I"m able to help with the shipping arrangements anywhere it needs to go. $19500 US

Thanks for having a look

Wow! What a pretty little car. Can you set a price in Canadian $'s ?

Dave

It is a very pretty car. About the size of a Model and lots of fun to drive. It gets a ton of attention when it's out!

$20500 Can$ would do it. Send me an email if you want to discuss it

Woops! Seems like I left out the A in Model A. Oldtimers kicking in again....

Thanks, I gathered that.....it does look about the same size as a Model A. I won't bother you until I give it more thought. Not high on my list of must have cars but a very interesting one nevertheless. Shipping from Vancouver to Thunder Bay would likely add an additional thousand + to the cost anyway since it would need covered transportation especially this year what with all the rain on the prairies.

Since it hasn't been run in 5 years have you considered that the gas tank might need a good flushing out of the old gas?

There has been gas stabilizer in the tank but it would be prudent to flush the system before adding fresh gas.

It's dry out here on the west coast!!
