Hi, can anyone help out with information or diagram of the linkages from the throttle to the carburettor on a 57 Buick.

The second photo of Dan's shows the free sliding second to the top linkage attachment arm. It appears taped in the photo as this little fella wants to slide down the shaft when not connected. On Dan's 3rd photo the completed setup shows just one tension spring connected from the top attachment arm to the manifold. This is OEM correct stock as delivered. However, many of these setup's when using a Carter 4 bbl eventually experienced the entire shaft being pulled over & up against the rear of the driver's side head and a resulting rattle upon deceleration. Consequently, a second spring was dealer attached to the top arm and then attached into the firewall slightly above this top lever arm to help counter the pull of the original manifold mounted spring. The result was an equal tension on this entire vertical setup as one can see studying the 3rd photo this OEM setup left little in the way of equalizing tension other than that provided by the carb's linkage. …. just some input and thoughts.
