George Albright
Please share this with your Kissel collector friends. Great start to a rare and valuable speedster project. Super rare 1909,1910,1912,1913 Kissel parts removed from the Harrah's collection in the 1970s. Stored inside since then. Many items still have Kissel written on them, with Harrah's famous yellow paint, which they used to ID most of their spare parts. According to Stu Laidlaw, HCCA and AACA brass car expert, since the 2 jugs have a 4 1/2 inch bore, the heads are off of a 40 HP FOUR cylinder model. Kissel built 30,40,50,and 60 HP engines in the 1909-13 period. Kissels are quite rare as are their parts, as there was a low of 400 to a high of around 900 cars made each year during the 1909-13 period. Parts are stored in Redding California, north of Sacramento. You must arrange pickup. Sorry no shipping assistance.I have no idea what year or years, and what sizes of engines and cars these parts can be used on as to Kissel models. However I,and Stu Laidlaw are 90% sure these are from the 1909-13 period. However you are the final judge, and you are buying the items as is where is. You will be getting the following: both heads, with 4 1/2 inch bore.(see photos),crankcase and both end covers. No crank shaft. No rods,no pistons.Oil pan and what appears to be a camshaft. 4 fenders,2 front,2 rear.Front axle with both spindles possibly in the several boxes of small parts that you get.(see photos) Rear axle housing, but no guts, ring and pinion or axle shafts. Sliding gear transmission.Fan. Again, with much of this stuff we are selling it as Kissel due to Herrahs writing Kissel on the part with yellow paint. I am not an expert in Kissel stuff,so I suggest you do not buy unless a Kissel expert looks at these items first.Several additional photos by email. Price is $4,800 for everything, and must be paid at time of purchase. Parts can stay there around 90 days. Good Luck. George Albright,Ocala,Fla. cell 352 843 1624 weekdays 10-4 EST best. Lozierman
I wonder if these are "left-over" parts from the late Ralph Dunwoodie? He worked for Harrah's back in the late 60s and early 70s and was a Kissel fan. I spoke to him a few times at past Harrah's swap meets. He was very knowledgeable in most early American cars. ron hausmann
George,According to the Kissel Registry, there are extant 35 Kissel Kars with dates from 1909 to 1913. there are another 3 if you count the 1914's with the earlier Kissel 4-40 engine. That's quite a few, considering the relative rareness of Kissels of all years. I'm not an expert on early Kissels. perhaps one of the folks who are familiar with early Kissels can identify which years are included in your parts. Thanks, RON HAUSMANN P.E. George Albright
Ron thank you so much for the nice email. Two things: Can you get me,or point me to the Kissel Registry,so I can individually snail mail write those Kissel owners? Second,is there a way you can post this ad on the Kissel Registry? Many thanks,George Albright gnalbright@gmail.com cell 352 843 1624

ron hausmann
Hey George, First, the Kissel Registry listing is kept within Kissel Owners. If you contact me on my personal email (which is listed on my website) I'll give you the information for similar car owners that might be interested. I can't guarantee the contact information as current, but it's a start. Second, there are two sites that Kissel folks use for news. One is the Kisselkar klub website and the other is Kissel automobiles facebook. I would suggest that you see if you can use those sites to get your Kissel parts more exposure. I don't know their policies however. Third, your engine number 7505 appears, from the information I have in the Kissel Registry, to be in the ranges of a 1912 or 1913 engine sequence. There are others who are more familiar with specific dates that would be able to be more precise. Hope this helps. RON HAUSMANN P.E.

George Albright
I have been informed the crankcase goes to a 1913 40 hp car based on bore and serial number. George
George Albright
I have been informed this is probably the same 40 HP engine in the 1914 model as well as the 1913 model. George
