Pete Phillips
Trying to identify this portion of a large aluminum carburetor, left in the estate of an old car collector. He owned a 1930 Cadillac and also restored Packards Twin Six automobiles and Packards of the 1930s. There is no brand name on this, but does have a casting number of 505891.Pete PhillipsLeonard, Texas
Layden B
Looks like the remains of a Johnson brand carburetor, Cadillac used them and so did a few others.
West Peterson
Packard also used Johnson for the early 1929 models, but it was such a poor carburetor, it was quickly replaced by the Detroit Lubricator. Most, if not all of the Johnson's have been replaced. I have never seen a Packard with a Johnson on it.
edinmass
It's a 29 Caddy carb.
