1957Birdman Posted June 20, 2014 Share Posted June 20, 2014 Bob,All early T-Birds are somewhat softly sprung, especially the 1956 model with 4 leaves in the springs and the continental spare hanging off of the back of the car. Having said that, you probably need new shocks. There are KYB gas shocks available at Rockauto that I have put on my car and I am quite satisfied with the ride. The standard model, which I have is firm without being too firm.
