1941_Saratoga
Was wondering if anyone had suggestions for replacements for rear fender stone deflectors for a C30. The part numbers are 900648 (right) and 900649 (left). I still have the backing plates, which are rough, but could be repaired. The Vulcanized rubber has, for the most part, cracked and fallen off. Open to suggestions. Also looking for the chrome trim that goes at the bottom of each stone deflector. I believe the part numbers are 934902 and 924903. Have these as well, but they need repair.Anxious to hear what others have done to replace these pieces. Thanks!Dave
vintchry
Dave, Suggest you contact Innovative Design Associates, 4515 Kirkcaldy Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304 248-646-0158 Ask for Diran. Very nice product, well reproduced and fit.Robhattiesgarage@comcast.net
1941_Saratoga
Thanks Rob. I'm in touch with Diran now, and the pictures he sent of the rubber deflectors look great - molded to the contour of the fender and beaded. Much nicer than the flat rubber replacements I've seen. Really appreciate the referral!Dave Edited June 4, 2014 by 1941_Saratoga (see edit history)
1941_Saratoga
Thought I would circle back around to this topic, in case it helped anyone in the future. Rob, I took your advice and ordered the stone deflectors from Innovative Design Associates. They arrived last Friday, and I was extremely impressed with the quality. Very thick, molded rubber with appropriate pebbling and a bead that runs around the outside edge. They fit like a glove on both fenders. Image is included below. Thanks for the recommendation!Dave
