jeff_a
GLong,Thank you, very interesting Peerless V-8 engine and transmission you listed here. Is that a Peerless chassis, too and is it for sale? I realize that you may not have seen it in person. You don't see these 332 cubic inch aluminum V-8s with 4-barrel carburetors and dual exhausts come up for sale a lot(!). I believe I met you at the Gilmore Gathering last year and rode with you in a Pierce Arrow for ten or twelve miles! ---------Jeff Edited May 23, 2014 by jeff_a (see edit history)
GLong
Hi Jeff, yes I remember going gor a short drive with you at the Gathering at Gilmore. I don't know anything about the Peerless items. You'll have to call the seller. I'm merely the guy posting the photos for the guys without internet and computers. I think the frame is also Peerless, but not sure. Good luck with the Peerless parts !! GLong
jeff_a
Glong,Thank you. I wanted to know more so I could decide to list this as a vehicle on the Known Peerless Automobiles In Existence list. It looks like the seller has a brass carburetor in the lot, too.
GLong
Hi Jeff, I'm sorry I can't be more help, I have seen the same photos you see here. If you find out more by calling the seller, I'll be interested to read about the car and the parts he's selling.GLong

The 1923 had the air compressor on the transmission not in front by the fan. The 1921 engine had the distributor in the rear. It looks like a Peerless frame that has been cut off and the axle and wheels are not Peerless. The big question would be the condition of the blocks, pan and water pump.If water sat in these they could be badly oxidized. RHL
