1955 Mercury Montclair 2 dr. hardtop

I don't know much about the 55 Mercury 2 dr. hardtop but, I found one that I like and the owner wants to sell. It's a 292 engine with white air cleaner and white valve covers with red letters that spell mercury on them. The engine is highly detailed and super clean but I can't really describle the engine color. It's sort of like a dull mustard color. Is this correct? The car is beautiful and a legit condition of between #2-#3 being closer to #2 condition. I was going to offer $20K--seem fair?

That sounds like the right color. There is no way to put a value on the car without having someone who is knowlegable in this type of car physically inspect it for any hidden flaws, check its history and paperwork etc.
