This is my most recent acquisition. I have begun the process (a deliberate approach as is my usual custom) to renewal and reanimation. I am most pleased, never having seen or worked on a Saxon. It appears from my initial impressions to be a well engineered, simple and elegant, automobile. The year is 1915, the model is S2R. I have included photos and will continue to post as progress continues. Thanks already goes to Elliot and Walt in Oregon.

Cheers.....Paul Chapot

Thanks for the kind words. Drained oil and pulled pan this weekend, remarkable condition of the lower end. Again simple but elegant; crankshaft, connecting rods, camshaft and followers. Oil screen clean and intact, oil galley looks new. engine turns freely using front crank Oil pan clean and sludge free. Next up is checking oil pump output. My plan is to insert oil intake pipe into auxiliary reservoir and turn engine by hand or with starter to verify pressure and pipe integrity. Cheers...Paul C
