TG57Roadmaster Posted May 15, 2014 Share Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) The lifelong collections of longtime AACA Members Remy and Betty Baker are being auctioned this weekend in Liberty, SC, between Atlanta & Charlotte off I-85.The SC and NC AACA regions and many other clubs have been visiting this legendary collection, 67 years in the making, housed in an old schoolhouse, for decades.There are brass cars, parts, some fine touring cars, all pre-war, plus enough collectibles, furniture and stuff to fill many man and woman caves.An important car in the auction is this 1902 CDO that participated in Detroit's Golden Jubilee in 1946, still owned by the same family. I just learned of this sale, and am sharing the info on behalf of my dear friend Betty. Remy passed away last July. Preston Opportunities is handling the auction.From the Baker Auction catalog. The lower left photo is likely from the Detroit 100 Centennial in 1996, not the Golden Jubilee (shown at right). She fired up in about 40 minutes after a long slumber!Experts say it's a #4 car, in decent overall shape.
