John_S_in_Penna
We certainly have some very good regional newsletters in the A.A.C.A., and they get better year by year.Accordingly, here's a thought for your consideration:Even though some of our best newsletters are approachingmagazine size, understatement is a plus. Modesty is anasset. I suggest always referring to them as "newsletters,"never "magazines."If regions call them magazines, that would put them in aclass with Hemmings Classic Car, Antique Automobile, Cars and Parts, and so on. Our newsletters are not of thatcaliber; even the best don't come close to those professionallyproduced publications."Wow, that's your newsletter? It sure is fancy!" is a likelycomment heard when our best regional publications classifythemselves in the more modest category.

You know, "Wow, I'm proud to say your newsletter looks like a magazine!" If I was an editor, I'd be really happy to hear someone say that. By the way, in my experience, AACA's top echelon newsletters are really becoming high quality newsletters. Some may even say, almost like magazines?Wayne
