WHSEWARD
The Owner's Manual for my 31 Lincoln is vague as to tire changing and jacking points. The car has a solid I-beam front axle and a 2" tubular cross member riveted to the frame at the very front of the car. It has leaf springs. Where would be the best point to jack up the car to change a tire? I am using an old heavy-duty cantilever jack that was my Dad's and it is plenty beefy but I don't want to damage anything by hoisting in the wrong place. My old 39 Buick had lots of details in the Owners Manual and the Shop Manual but this earlier car's manual lacks a lot of the detail I would have expected. I would appreciate some input. Thanks,Bill Seward
