Guest 40packard
Wondering if anyone knows the correct sequence for valve adjustment on the 323 eights. The one where you have it at top dead center for # 1 and adjust eight of the valves, then roll the engine over 360 degrees and adjust the rest. I adjusted them this way when I rebuilt the eng but have forgotten the sequence and none of my books (motors, chiltons, and the chrysler shop manual) show it. Can't remember where I found it. c49er
I have never seen the sequence that you are seeking either. .You should be able to figure it out though!I roll em ( C39/C49's) over to TDC for each cylinder when I do them with a remote starter switch. Rusty_OToole
I know what you mean. Try adjusting all the valves that are closed, ignore the ones that are open. Turn engine 360 degrees and all the open valves will be closed.
