Lahti35
Probably a long shot but i'm searching for my grandfather's 1936 Cadillac. It would have been purchased from one George Alvord in 1995 or 1996 in Midland, Michigan. It was a running sedan and I remember two gentlemen came to purchase it for use in a wedding out east. The car was an older restoration at that point, black with a hump trunk. I think the gentlemen also took a LaSalle parts car of the same era with them.Don't know if you don't try so here I try! John_S_in_Penna
Since your father's car survived everyday use to become a collector car, it's not such a long shot!Undoubtedly it still exists in the hobby. You might try the Cadillac-LaSalle Club, and contactthe 1936 Cadillac technical advisor in that club.(I believe those specialists are listed on their web site.)He probably knows lots of '36 Cadillacs. Or put awant-ad in their club magazine.
