Rusty_OToole
What gasket? Do you mean head gasket?Maybe someone put in the thick head gasket to lower the compression. Your car has low compression to start with, maybe they wanted to run it on kerosene. During WW2 when gasoline was hard to get, some motors were modified to run on kerosene. Curti
I think there was a gasket between the engine and transmission for some reason.
Rusty_OToole
Some cars have a cover plate that sandwiches between the engine and trans, and extends downward to cover the bottom of the flywheel and clutch.
