2014 Model A Meet in Bird-In-Hand, Pa?

Is there a Model A meet this year at Gene Renninger's in Bird-in-Hand, Pa. What is the date?

Renninger's is no more. All stock was sold to a guy up near Williamsport, Pa. There will be a Model A show in Hellertown,Pa near Easton on Sat. April 26. I hope it gets some turnout although I don't expect too much in the first year.Let me know if you can't open this file.

Oh, didn't know he sold out. I had seen pictures of an earlier meet, and it looked larger than I had anticipated. Thought I'd check it out this year, guess not. Dave, thanks for your reply.

Gene Renninger's store was an institution that served the Model A community for many, many years. I did not know his son had sold the business until just now.

Dave Renninger kept threatening to close it down. In recent years it was hard to get him at the store and you could see his heart wasn't in it. I heard he took a job with the post office. Last year when he said it was the last year he meant it. I hope this new show takes off. The Lehigh Valley Region of Marc is very active but even they are slowing down. I know that there will be at least 12 Model As at the Hellertown show, coming from Long Island to enjoy a nice long weekend.

There was some talk of this show on Fordbarn.I'm sorry to say I didn't see any advertising anywhere else. I know of maybe another dozen coming from Aston,Pa area. I hope it's successful and repeated for years to come.It has big shoes to fill.
