Guest dwhiteside64
Hi,I was out in the garage yesterday inspecting the engine and noticed this 4 inch hose with a closed end attached to the rear of my intake manifold (circled in red). I am thinking it may have been used for vacuum tests and never removed. I think I should remove it to reduce possible manifold leaks even though my car is running great with it attached. Has anyone seen this before?
RivNut
Does your a/c work? It's on every '64 and has a purpose. Looks like you need to search the ol' chassis manual some.
Guest dwhiteside64
Hi Yes it does have A/C but I tried to find it in the chassis manual but was unsuccessful. I guess I better take another look lol.
Guest dwhiteside64
Well it took me less than 5 minutes to find it! Looks like it's a vacuum line that goes to the vacuum storage tank. Thanks Ed
