Retainer spring series 90 M/C bracket 1940

I am looking for the funky little bloated "A" shaped retainer spring that holds the master cylinder mounting plate to the brake/clutch pedal shaft.

Parts book, page 249 lists this part in section 8.934 as P/N 148154, and back in '40 it was $ .02ea.

I would not expect to find one at that price, but if you have one please answer here or PM me.

I do have 2 "E" rings on the "Baby" for now and they seem to work, but I really would like to find the proper part.

Thanks,

Mike in Colorado

Brooker,

The best info I have is the picture in the parts book on page 249.

I did find a pair of "E" rings for a 3/4" shaft and I ground a bit of the "E" out so they would sit down a bit further in the groove.

They seem to work.

I just got my brake cylinders and master back from Karp's in Calif. Sleeved with 304 stainless tube, and BEAUTIFLY cross hatched. Now to put her back together, and start driving ( and stopping)...........

Mike

PS; If you would be willing to send me what you have, I will know in a second if it is the right part. Seems to me that the clip is about 2" tall overall and fits on a 3/4" shaft.
