1930s ?? buick air mate radio

My guess is a late 30s aftermarket unit.

I know nothing about the early radios and can find no info but did you notice it has the buick logo on the dial/faceplate?this came loose with a 35 model 58 I just bought but the seller had no idea if it was ever in the car I wouldn't have thought it was aftermarket with the buick logo

Looks like a 34/35 Buick Radio head to me..............same as I got for my 34 except yours probably has the correct knobs. The speaker and power unit in mine is differs to yours but the head is the same (see the photo of mine below).

May also have been for 33 but not sure on that.

There was also another similar head that had a keyed lock.

thanks for the input so it looks like the head is period correct with an aftermarket speaker as my speaker box doesn't have the buick logo

Don't use my speaker box as a guide for originality as I placed that Buick badge there myself.

I know my radio head is correct but not sure about the speaker box.......yours may well be correct.

thanks you have a great lookin old buick there!just bought this one was somewhat restored in the early sixties,parked since the early 70s.runs/drives but needs gas tank repaired and brake booster rebuilt

The 1936 had a rectangle dial face for the tuning dial
