olbuickman
A friend of mine is going to replace a window regulator for me on my slow operating passengers side window. What would be the approximate labor hours for this job and parts cost? Thanks in advance,Frank
Guest Mc_Reatta
Do you know what the issue is with the window (bad motor) or is a diagnosis needed? (tracks, lube, regulator?)Has motor been replaced before?Has this person ever changed a out window motor out on a Reatta before? An expert with everything at hand could do it in an hour. A newbee might need two days.
olbuickman
Mc Reatta, As far as I know, It is the original window regulator,it has been slow operating since I bought the car in 2006, My friend has done extensive work on car wiring problems and is a master when rebuilding classic marine engines. I printed out a copy from Ronnies site the 14 steps to a regulator replacement if in fact that is the problem. Frank
Guest Mc_Reatta
I'd guess 2 to 4 hours. If the window moves continuously all the way just slow, it may more be a lubrication / track problem than a motor issue.Don't forget to lube the locking mechanism too while he's in there.
