Mark Huston
I like that. How long have you had it. Tell me more about it.I have had my President Brougham for 14 years. It was not running when I bought it and I spend the first winter working to get it running the spring of 2001. The prior owner had it for 30 years and it only ran briefly when he first got it. It sat untouched for the next 30 years. The prior owner stated he bought the car in the late 60s from a guy who acquired it from an auction of abandoned property at a storage company. The person who abandoned it at the storage facility did so after painting it solid red, rebuilding the engine, and installing new (incorrect) upholstery. The President has a very old (30s) gas station service sticker from Coos Bay, Oregon. Here are pictures of what it looked like when I bought it. Here are some before and after pictures of the President.
studeboy
I have 3 cars. A 1940 Comander that I spent 7 years restoring. Did all the work myself except the paint job. I have traveled all around the northeast in it. It does have over drive. My second car is an mostly original 1928 royal dictator type 2. I keep this on the road as a local driver. The last car is my 10 year project a 1922 Light Six Roadster with a 1924 light six engine. Still not running but many systems rebuilt.

Guest stude8
This is my 1928 Studebaker Commander Big Six Victoria model GB. It runs well and gets to local car shows here in far southern Illinois when the weather is OK for it to be outside. The 354 CID big six isa powerful engine and it climbs hills with the best of them all.The engine compartment photos shows the refinished splash apronpanel being replaced.John Shanahan
studeq
Great looking car John! Everyone I know who has the Big Six attests to its hill climbing prowess. Bob Valpey claims that his Big Six Duplex climbs the hills in new Hampshire a lot better than his '31 President Eight roadster.
