rapidride2
I just sent my 52 Roadmaster master cyl. and wheel cylinders out to Apple hydraulics to be rebushed/rebuilt.My question is. What was the correct finish for the master cylinder? I'm thinking raw/natural or chassis black? Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.
Pete Phillips
I don't think they were painted when new. I always spray mine with "cast iron" spray paint. That is what the color is called.Pete Phillips, BCA #73381948 56S1948 76S1949 511949 591950 76R1958 49D1959 Electra1962 Special1963 Wildcat conv. rapidride2
I see. It's mounted low along the frame rail. I wasn't sure if they were painted black back then.
